Christian Liberty Beginning Readers

These four reading books can be used along with any phonetic program for practice with short- and long-vowel words. The first two readers concentrate on short-vowel words beginning with sentences containing three-letter words, while the last two continue through long vowels and the remaining phonograms. In these readers full-color illustrations accompany the text which is in an easy-to-read typestyle. The content is Christian with references to Jesus and God, along with character building themes.

This is one of the least expensive sets of phonetic readers available, although there is not a lot of practice for each level. These work well in combination with CLP's Noah Webster's Reading Handbook and Adventures in Phonics Level A.
