Phonics and Advanced Phonics

These are two separate CD audio recordings, each with a companion activity book. On the first recording, Phonics, children reinforce sound/letter identification by listening and singing along to the rap-style music. The second recording, Advanced Phonics, moves on to more complex phonograms plus rhyming words, compound words, synonyms, and antonyms.

These recordings do not comprise a complete phonics program. Teach the sounds first, providing explanations from a complete phonics program, then offer your child these recordings for independent listening. The 24-page activity book in each set features puzzles, cut-and-paste pages, and other activities plus lyrics to all of the songs.

CDs are also available on their own, but for $1 more you get the activity book. Twin Sisters has added the option of MP3 downloads of individual songs as well as a pre-loaded MP3 player. Samples are available on the CBD website.
