Books IA and II are spelling workbooks recommended for second and third grade students who have reading and spelling difficulties. They review names and sounds of letters and phonograms plus spelling rules, then provide copy practice to reinforce learning. Book IA is targeted at second grade students who have not yet learned cursive. Book II, for remedial third grade students, uses cursive writing and expands on spelling instruction focusing on rules, generalizations, and structure.
A Spelling Workbook for Corrective Drill for Elementary Grades is written for fourth through sixth grade students who have difficulty with spelling, this 120-page workbook takes a multi-sensory approach. Phonetic drills are used with kinesthetic (body movement) reinforcements. Rules are taught and words are grouped by families. Syllabication and pronunciation are also reviewed.
