Six audiocassette tapes contain twelve 30-minute messages that begin by analyzing various philosophical viewpoints in light of biblical Christianity. The first seven messages address secularism, existentialism, humanism, pragmatism, positivism, pluralism and relativism, and hedonism. The remaining five focus on science, economics, government, art, and literature. These latter five messages are excellent for introducing students to a biblical Christian view of these areas that are rarely considered as having any philosophical viewpoint. Use each tape to begin the discussion for each area, then use other resources to expand the study. Even if you do not use the first seven tapes, it is worth purchasing the set for these last five messages. They can be used along with other courses in science, government, etc. or they can be used as the introductions for your own unit studies on worldviews. (Dr. Sproul’s theological background is Reformed Protestantism.)
