Great Books

Great Books is a term used to identify a list of classic literature that is considered essential for a classical education from a "western civilization" perspective. These include books like The Illiad and The Odyssey by Homer, Plato's Republic, Machiavelli's The Prince, and Hobbes' Leviathan. St. John's College lists these books in their information about their courses.
