This one-semester study of key people in the book of Judges, focuses on godly leadership qualities. A student book and teacher's edition comprise a course that is suggested for students in grades 7 through 9, but which might be stretched to include both younger and older children.
Lots of practical application and thought-provoking questions make this an intriguing study. Although it was written for classroom use, it will work well for homeschoolers. It does not assume a previous familiarity with Judges but includes an overview of the key events and themes so that students understand the context.
Lessons are guided from the teacher's edition, so it does require some teaching, interaction, and discussion. Some group activities are suggested, but these are not crucial. The student book is also essential for much of the course content. Almost 100 blackline masters at the back of the teacher's edition are designed to be used or reproduced to serve as visual aids, worksheets, lesson outlines for notes, a ministry gifts survey, tests, and quizzes. The NKJV is used, but you can easily substitute another version of the Bible.
