Discovery Magazine

Discovery Magazine

High quality and low price make each of these eight-page magazines great science supplements for children. Monthly issues are printed in full-color on quality paper with large, easy-to-read print. Typically, there are articles on creation science (fossils and dinosaurs), Bible animals, the Bible and history, the human body, nature, and scientists, plus two pages of questions and puzzles.

Some earlier editions are available as bound volumes (one-year's worth in each), so if you like Discovery, check for those back issues.

The publisher identifies their target audience as grades 2-6, although reading level and puzzle page might be challenging for second and third graders. Nevertheless, younger children will enjoy having the paper read to them.

Apologetics Press offers a discount to homeschoolers, and you can save even more by purchasing a two-year subscription.
